Veterinary science can be defined as the medical field that focuses on the care of animals. Veterinary science has also become very specialized. An example of one such specific area of animal care could be a specialization in the care of horses or being an equine veterinarian. Completion Of A Veterinary Science Degree
An individual who successfully completes their veterinary science program is known as a veterinarian. As with all medical professions, the completion of a veterinary science degree is an involved process. That process is a combination of extensive educational obligations and practical on the job training experiences.
Upon completion of college, the individual must accomplish three to four of undergraduate pre-veterinary work. Following the successful completion of this requirement, the veterinarian, in process, must continue their veterinarian education by attending a certified veterinarian school. The length of this schooling is four years. Upon successful completion of this formal education the graduate may take their licensing examination.
